Jaroslav Šuchman specialises in the law of contracts, personal data protection, EU law, gaming law, consumer protection, advertising law and other regulatory areas, and law-making advisory.
Prior to joining our law firm in 2010, he received his LL.M. degree at the Columbia Law School in New York. Before the post-graduate course he worked for five years at the Parliament of the Czech Republic as Head of the European Union Unit, Senate Chancellery, where he was instrumental in building mechanisms and providing for the daily parliamentary monitoring of the EU legislative procedure following the accession of the Czech Republic to the European Union, and building and developing a framework for the interaction between the Senate, the Czech Government and EU institutions. He was co-responsible for the contents and course of the parliamentary dimension of the Czech Republic’s Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2009.
