Our specialised team of insolvency & restructuring experts is among the largest in the Czech Republic. We are able to tailor it to the needs of individual cases and apply the experience of other experts in our company, if the circumstances of a particular case require so. That enables our law firm to guarantee premium quality legal services in court as well as out-of-court solutions for insolvency and pre-insolvency issues.
Our direct representation in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia as well as our international network of long-term cooperating legal firms enable us to address comprehensive cases with international elements.
We have acquired extensive experience from cooperating with the widest network of corporate and private clients in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, which is complemented by the long-term stability of the entire team.
Our detailed knowledge of the judicial environment enables us to always adapt our procedures to individual cases.
Our team has continuously ranked among the most recommended law firms in the Restructuring & Insolvency category of the Legal Firm of the Year award.
Our lawyers regularly lecture and publish articles on insolvency law and take part in discussions on amendments to various regulations, e.g. at the Czech Bar Association, Turnaround Management Association ČR, INSOL Europe and the Centre for Restructuring and Insolvency of Harry Pollak at the University of Economics, Prague.
Representing in insolvency proceedings and related cases
We have represented financial institutions and other players in all major recent insolvency proceedings. We lodge claims in insolvency proceedings on behalf of our clients, we represent them in creditor bodies, we negotiate and draft reorganisation schemes, we ensure efficient supervision over the activities of insolvency trustees and we manage and liquidate acquired assets, among other things.
We also represent our clients in cases related
to insolvency proceedings, namely in proceedings on respondents’ actions, on
the withdrawal of assets from the estate or on protection against ungrounded
insolvency petitions. We also provide regular advisory on matters relating to
the duty of members of the board of directors to proceed with due managerial
care and to file a timely insolvency petition, and also on related matters regarding
the compensation of possible damage.
Restructuring of financial indebtedness and entities in difficulties
We have wide experience with providing legal
services in the field of informal restructuring both on the side of creditors
and debtors. We primarily draft informal financial exposure restructuring
schemes together with professional consultants, and we protect our clients from
legal risks related to the avoidance of potential bankruptcy.
