The largest Czech-Slovak law firm HAVEL & PARTNERS is expanding the number of its equity partners. As of 1 September 2019, Petr Kadlec, a partner, joined this group of top management.
“Petr has been showing excellent results over the long term and is a great asset for the development of the firm. Promotion to the position of equity partner is an expression of trust and the will to engage him in top management. In general, it also confirms our approach to internal career growth, which allows the best lawyers to get into the management and gain a shareholding in the firm,” says co-founder and managing partner Jaroslav Havel about the current increase in the number of the firm’s equity partners.
Petr Kadlec (44) has more than 17 years of experience and specialises in public procurement, competition law, including state aid and subsidies from EU funds, information technology, energy and environmental law, and forensic legal audits. Petr has extensive experience in providing legal services in the public sector and in EU regulation. Between 2007 and 2010, he worked at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition (DG Competition) in Brussels, where he was involved in antitrust and abuse of dominance investigations, including participation in dawn raids at competitors as a forensic IT expert. Petr Kadlec is also a member of the ERO Appeals Committee.
