Havel, Holásek & Partners provided legal advice to IAD Investments on the largest real estate transaction in Slovakia in 2016

Havel, Holásek & Partners provided comprehensive legal advice to IAD Investments, správ. spol., a.s.,the oldest Slovak management company, providing financial services in Central European countries since 1991, and currently managing assets worth EUR 500 mil., in relation to two major acquisitions, namely the the shopping centre Laugaricio in Trenčín, and the administrative building Twin City A in Bratislava. The acquisition of the shopping centre Laugaricio is the largest real estate transaction in Slovakia for the year 2016.

The shopping centre Laugraicio was acquired by the fund Prvý realitný fond, o.p.f., IAD Investments, správ. spol., a.s. managed by IAD Investments, správ. spol., a.s. from investors represented by Mint Investments. Opened in 2009, Laugaricio, with its leasable area of 26 000 m2 allowing for extension by another 15 000 m2, is the dominant shopping centre of the Trenčín region.   

IAD Investments has further broadened its portfolio by acquiring the Bratislava administrative centre Twin City A from HB Reavis, represented by Allen & Overy. This modern building, built in 2015 in the dynamically developing commercial quarter of Mlýnské Nivy in Bratislava, is currently the seat of a number of prestigious tenants such as PwC, Merck Sharp & Dohme, Bayer, BNP Paribas Slovensko or Sfera.

The parties elected not to disclose the value of both the transactions.
